Le Onde del Cielo, Melancholic Neopolitan / Il Collezionista 7"

Featuring vocalist Max Usata and multi-instrumentalist Igor Stepniewski of Puts Marie and percussionist Lou Caramella of Palko!Muski, Le Onde del Cielo is a new Italian-language electronic project from three heavyweights of the underground Swiss music scene. Recorded in September 2013 in Portland and mixed by Jeff Saltzman, Le Onde del Cielo delivers hypnotic, sexy, bass-heavy sounds using a Roland CR-68 drum machine, a Yamaha YC-30 keyboard, a Casiotone CT-6000 keyboard plus guitar, bass and vocals. Max Usata (aka Miro Caltagirone) sings depraved tales of melancholy and obsession in a rich, textured voice that brings to mind a young Tom Waits (if he had been singing in Italian) and Adriano Celentano. What were these Swiss doing in Portland, working with legendary producer Jeff Saltzman? The story is as improbable as the resulting release from Voodoo Doughnut Recordings!
