Williams, Mason, Mason Williams EP: 2003
In 1968, Mason Williams was riding high. Not only was he one of the writers for the highly successful, albeit controversial, Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, but he also wrote and performed the format-bending, insturmental pop hit "Classical Gas." The record earned Williams two Grammys that year for Best Instrumental Composition and Best Instrumental Performance. After 7 singles, 24 albums, and 2 EP’s, legendary guitar player Mason Williams has written over 250 songs including the hit “Classical Gas”.
