Pinata Protest, El Valiente CD
El Valiente is the sophomore release from San Antonio’s Piñata Protest. Building on the conjunto meets punk foundation of their debut album Plethora, the accordion fronted foursome blast off into expansive musical territory with the new set. Produced by Chris “Frenchie” Smith (Jet, Toadies, Built To Spill) El Valiente accentuates the band’s punchy, road tested sound and takes it to another level. From the hilarious ghettotech intro to the the last notes of hardcore closer “Que Pedo” the disc sports great new originals and monster covers of “Volver, Volver” and “La Cucaracha”, all delivered in the band’s trademark style. The band’s killer live shows have made them audience favorites any and everywhere they play--this is great rock ‘n’ roll in any language. The first 300 albums are on opaque red vinyl.
