Swamp Dogg, Resurrection
Swamp Dogg is an icon and is considered a star among his huge cult U.S. following in the West Indian communities and Vietnam veterans. Since his start in the early 60s as Little Jerry Willimas, Swamp has written many hits in genres ranging from soul to pop to rap to country. Swamp's largest followings are in The Netherlands, Northern England, Surinam, Barbados, Trinidad, Brazil and most all Carribean and South American countries. The new album, Resurrection is being hailed as his greatest work since his 1970 gold debut Total Destruction To Your Mind. Included is his political humor, with a critique of the President in "They Crowned An Idiot King" as well as a classic left field love song, "Today I Got Married" and the title song which gives a step by step lesson as to how to survive while being black. The cd is rock'n'roll, blues and r'n'b at it's finest.
