Griffin, Brongaene, Three Colours Ginger

Brongaene Griffin's long awaited debut CD is an exciting collection of "contemporary traditional" fiddle music. Based in Portland, OR, Brongaene is a well established NW area fiddler who has roots in Bluegrass and Old-Time but since the 90s her focus has been on Irish music. The CD is dedicated to feline welfare and this cat "theme" runs through the whole recording - the title, the tunes and also the poems (read by fiddler Kevin Burke). Brongaene is accompanied by the collective and individual talents of both locally and internationally acclaimed musicians, including producer and guitarist Gerry O'Beirne, fiddler Kevin Burke and accordionist Johnny Connolly from Ireland and Portland's Elizabeth Nicholson on harp, Jim Chapman on bouzouki and Bob Soper on djembe and fiddle. Three Colours Ginger will be immensely appealing to music-lovers and cat-lovers alike.
