I intended to record this album on the road using technology which favors music (a good microphone, my laptop and an M-box). The concept has to do with a place where our souls can experience the quietness and restfulness – and for me this is that soundtrack. It`s not a mandolin exercise or practice, but simply the enjoyment of playing. I have wanted to record a CD like this for a long time so that I could capture the intimacy of the mandolin, generally reserved for hotel rooms and my home. There are no arrangements, just songs that live in my unconscious.
